Well, we are in NM... all cars, boxes, stuff with the exception of a small step-stool.... and of course the dog is here too. Our other blog tells our stories...this one will probably become mostly for quilt stuff....
The weather in Las Vegas has been hot but quite a bit of the summer rains has fallen. The fields are green and I'm sure the cattle and horses and sheep are enjoying the new grass that is growing.
Levi is enjoying the geckos that live here...still hasn't caught one but he's working at it. We've seen a coyote in our driveway, 3 coyote pups along the road, a road runner walking across the driveway and the myriad bunnies that live around here. And lots of song birds are heard. Oh, and roosters that crow not only in the morning but during the day.
I am taking two classes at the local quilt shop this week...one on rag rugs and the other on felting...should be fun and yet another way to meet more quilters. My pot quilt is in Albuquerque - hopefully the quiltingt will be done by mid-August in time for our company to see it.
Off now to make some snacks for the Girls' Night Out party tonight. This is a monthly get-together of the women who live in our valley. I went to the one in June and had a great time and look forward to meeting more of the gals tonight. I'm making the old favorite midwest dill pickles with cream cheese and dried beef!!
